Building their shows off the Grateful Dead's extensive cannon of originals and covers Dark Star Orchestra infuses the songs with new life night after night. The band starts with the framework of The Dead's original arrangements and instrumentation and layers on their own web of improvisation and inspiration. On any given night DSO may choose to recreate a set list from the thousands of shows The Grateful Dead originally performed during their 30 years of touring or create a new musical mix putting together a set of songs that reflect the here and now. The band is built for fans, by fans, with band members channeling the original spirit of a Grateful Dead show for fans of all ages. Through 12 years and over 1,700 shows DSO has provided a grand celebration of the musical realm of The Grateful Dead. Join in the celebration as DSO returns to Marvin's Mountaintop for All Good 14.
