The Flaming Lips are an American rock band, formed in Norman, Oklahoma in 1983. Melodically, their sound contains lush, multi-layered, psychedelic rock arrangements, but lyrically their compositions show elements of space rock, including unusual and exciting song and album titles. They are also acclaimed for their elaborate live shows, which feature costumes, balloons, puppets, video projections, complex stage light configurations, giant hands, large amounts of confetti, and frontman Wayne Coyne's signature man-sized plastic bubble, in which he traverses the audience. Lotus has crafted a unique musical style outside of simple genre limitations. Like a classic novel it all starts at a chance meeting one rainy, fall night in Boston, when fellow torchbearers of new roots Americana, Seth and Scott Avett of The Avett Brothers invite Garret Dutton aka G. Love onto their tour bus after a gig to share their love of back road blues. This mutual affinity leads to G. Love sharing the stage with The Avett Brothers at a summer music festival both are playing. The collaboration, sounding so natural and right, deepens, so much so, eventually G. The Bridge

The Bridge
Road warriors The Bridge decided to call it quits on the day of their 10-year anniversary, gracefully bowing out after a sold-out show to their hometown faithful in Baltimore, MD. Many were left scratching their heads wondering why a band seemingly at their peak, having just recorded their studio masterpiece, "National Bohemian", with Grammy-winning producer Steve Berlin of Los Lobos, had called it quits. Having built a passionate fan base through heavy touring and dynamic live performances apparently wasn't enough to sustain the band financially, and they were forced to close up shop after 10 years. For the last 7 of those years, The Bridge graced the stage at the All Good Festival and delivered some of their most exciting performances, so naturally when they were asked to "come out of retirement" for this year's All Good, they couldn't say no.
